After college she worked as a television reporter in Kansas, Missouri and in Wisconsin. She moved back to Wichita, Kansas in 1983 to marry Craig Graham, a local real estate agent. In succeeding years, Marlene founded and operated a number of area publications, hosted a television show of which she was Executive Producer, and published an annual 300 page book entitled Spotlight on Wichita. She sold her publications prior to “hitting the highways” with her husband and 2 children for a 1-year adventure road-trip across all 50 states of America. In fact, this was the second trip of its kind for Marlene, as 20 years earlier she had traveled America with her parents and her younger brother. Their adventures have been documented on such shows as DONNY & MARIE, TODAY, OPRAH, THE VIEW, and even CNN. She is the author of the book detailing their travel adventures, Headfirst Into America!  DWYN DIONDwyn Dion was born in Salem, MA and raised in her family-owned yacht yard in Kittery, ME. She attended college in Rhode Island and obtained her B.S. in Business Administration in 1973 majoring in Management with a minor in Marketing. Before relocating to Naples in 2004, she earned her Maine real estate license. Dwyn started her real estate career in Naples working as a personal assistant to a top producer at John R Wood Realtors on 5th Avenue. It was at this office she first met Craig and Marlene Graham. She made her move to be a full time real estate agent after a year and joined VIP Realty on Vanderbilt Beach Road. She became a guru of North Naples, Estero and Bonita Springs. Dwyn had maintained contact with Marlene Graham who had since moved her developing team of experts to Downing-Frye Realty.  JOEY SMITHIn 1975, Joey’s parents, Paul and Maria Smith decided the best way for their kids, Joey and his sister Marlene, to appreciate America and its upcoming Bicentennial was to experience the country first-hand. Traveling in a VW Beetle and starting with $500, they did just that. They worked their way through all 50 states, returning to Missouri on July 4, 1976 as the nation was celebrating its 200th birthday. They had completed a tremendous journey within 1 year of their departure date and have remarkable stories to share of excursions and amazing people they encountered along the way. Upon graduation of high school, Joey served as a Marine in the U.S. military. He then continued his education and obtained a Bachelors degree in Marketing in Austin, TX before tackling a Masters Degree in Public Administration in Wichita, KS. He began his career in the Federal and State sectors of government before settling into Local government administration, serving more than15 years as a city manager for various communities. Seeking a change of pace from local government, Joey began his newfound real estate career in Central Florida in 2004 after witnessing the great success of his sister and brother-in-law’s real estate business in Naples. He had made frequent visits to Naples to see his family over the years and had found it to be friendly, tidy and quaint, quite reminiscence of his favorite TV town, Mayberry. After the death of his brother-in-law, Joey relocated to Naples permanently to assist his sister in her Downing-Frye real estate offices.  David & Courtney SharifieDavid Sharifie grew up in Birmingham Alabama and Naples Florida. He is a graduate of Naples High School and Florida Gulf Coast University where he majored in business.  Ilen (Elaine) EstradaIlen was born in Cuba and came to America during the Freedom Flights at the age of 6 with her father, mother and 2 older brothers. They settled in Elizabeth, New Jersey where she attended parochial school St. Adalbert. She met her husband, Jorge Estrada whom she has been married to for 26 years. They have raised 2 sons and spoil their 3 beautiful grandchildren every opportunity they get.  JIM BIRRELLJim Birrell was raised in the Mid-Western states of Utah and Colorado. After finishing high school he spent 4 years in the Marine Corps and saw duty in Japan, Okinawa, and the Philippines. After his discharge from the service he attended the University of Maryland and the University of Colorado. He obtained a position with Squibb Pharmaceutical as a Territory Manager for Colorado, Wyoming, Montana and Nebraska. He was promoted to the New York office s Director of Training and Development. Jim jump-started his real estate career in the International Relocation business. As Vice President of Sales for a major relocation company he was responsible for managing relocations for many Fortune 500 companies in New York, Washington D.C. and London. Jim has traveled extensively internationally and says about the only place he has not been is Iceland. Jim and his wife moved to Naples in 2005.
